Giles Animal Rescue, with the help of holistic veterinarian, Marjorie Lewter, DVM, held their Spring rabies vaccination clinic in Pembroke on Saturday, April 9, 2016. The Giles Breakfast Lions Club had members on hand to direct traffic for this “drive-through” clinic. Owners were asked to remain in their vehicles with their pets and pull up one at a time to the vet station, where their pets received their vaccination without leaving the car or truck. Despite the snow and frigid temps, a total of 31 dogs and cats were successfully vaccinated and on their way. Many people received information about low-cost spay/neuter services as well. Giles Animal Rescue would like to thank Dr. Lewter and the dedicated volunteers who braved the elements to help make this event a success.
