Giles Animal Rescue, with the help of holistic vet Marjorie Lewter, DVM, held a rabies vaccination clinic in Pembroke on Saturday, March 14, 2015. The Giles Breakfast Lions Club had members on hand to direct traffic for this “drive-through” clinic. Owners were asked to remain in their vehicles with their pets and pull up one at a time to the vet station, where their animals received their vaccination without leaving the car or truck. Despite the rain, a total of 96 dogs and cats were vaccinated and on their way. Many people received information about low-cost spay/neuter services as well. Giles Animal Rescue would like to thank the many volunteers who came out to help make this event such a success.
